Ocean Adventure

Ever wondered what might be living just below the surface? Join CBFS's education team to find out! Climb aboard a research vessel and deploy an Otter Trawl to discover what organisms inhabit our waters. Get truly hands on, feet wet as you throw out the net, help haul it in, and handle all of the exciting organisms that we bring aboard! 

PLEASE NOTE: This program requires at least 12 participants to run.

Time: 2:00PM to 5:00PM
Tuition: $60 per person
Meeting Place: Chincoteague Bay Field Station, 34001 Mill Dam Road, Wallops Island, VA

What participants need to wear/bring to the workshop:
  • Sturdy, closed toe shoes (sneakers or boots recommended)
  • Water
  • Sun protection
