Artist and Writer in Residence Program 

Interested in working on your art or writing along the beautiful Eastern Shore? We can provide easy access to NASA's Wallops Island, Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, vessel trips and contact hours with the community. More information about how CBFS can support your work can be found on our RESOURCES page.

In return for reduced rates we ask that each artist or writer in residence agree to: 

• ​Provide 2.5 hours/week of outreach activities in the community (may be per week or single longer event)
• Provide either a piece of work (original or print) for CBFS Annual Silent Auction or permanent art instillation or other product as arranged with CBFS
• Credit CBFS in all published materials in regards to work produced while in residence
• Provide CBFS a yearly update about your work until complete (January 30th yearly)
• Represent CBFS professionally with the public and partner organizations  
• Follow all CBFS, partner organization and university rules, policies and procedures
