A field trip to the sand dunes of NASA's restricted Wallops Island will allow you to see a pristine environment. This island is closed to the public, so this is a unique opportunity to see a natural beach ecosystem. While in the field participants will learn about dune succession and collect and identify shells with members of our education team.
Time: 8:30 am to 11:30 am Tuition: $15 per person
Program Restrictions: Because you will be visiting a NASA base you will need a United States Issued photo ID. Foreign Nationals will not be able to have access to the NASA/Navy Base. Unfortunately, Foreign Nationals cannot attend the trip.
What participants need to wear/bring to workshop:
All Adult's must have a valid US Driver's license
Comfortable shoes for walking on the beach and clothing
