Field Station Educator
This is a seasonal, full time position.
Position dates: February 26 - November 8, 2024 Pay: $880 bi-weekly Benefits: room + board, 800sqft furnished 2 bed/1 bath apartment with all utilities included and max. one roommate. Meals provided when the dining hall is open. Join CBFS's education team as a Field Station Educator! This full time, seasonal position works with all CBFS programs including but not limited to Road Scholar, school groups, family programs, outreach, overnight and day camps, and University & Research programs. Educators are responsible for leading all programs, set-up and break-down of program areas, aquaria and lab maintenance, and behind-the-scenes office work. Educators get truly hands on, feet wet with our programs as they lead participants into the field to experience this unique environment. Classes and programs include ornithology/birding, intertidal studies, wetland ecology, kayaking, oceanography boat trips, bicycling, coastal botany, marine invertebrates, and more! This job is ideal for those who are motivated self starters who are passionate about the environment and outdoors! Ideal candidates can work well both independently and as part of a team.
