OCEAN SCIENCE ADVENTURES ON CHINCOTEAGUE BAY WITH YOUR GRANDCHILD

Why is the ocean blue? Is a sponge actually alive? Have questions like these and others answered. Come share a week of fun exploration and learning with your grandchild.
This course offers a chance for hands-on excitement as together you analyze creek water, pull in a net full of wriggling creatures or examine the life in a drop of sea water. Visit the picturesque Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, learn about local history and legends and experience first hand the delicacy and beauty of these coastal environments. Whether it’s learning how to identify a Pigfish or smelling productive salt marshes, you’ll learn something about local marine ecology and even more about each other. In partnership with the Chincoteague Bay Field Station.
