KAYAKING

Students will have the opportunity to paddle their way through salt marshes, Cypress Swamps and local tidal creeks.  This trip is for 5th grade and above and can only accommodate 16 students and 2 chaperones per paddle. Multiple paddles can be scheduled for larger groups. There is an additional fee for kayaking per person.

Class Goals:
  • Explore up close the chosen habitat via kayak
  • Learn proper paddling techniques
  • Use senses to strengthen observation skill
  • Learn about the wildlife and organisms your students see during the paddle
