MARINE SCIENCE ADVENTURE

Registration for 2026 Programs will open January 26, 2026 at 9AM EST.

2026 Programs:
Spring Program: May 17-19, 2026
Fall Program: September 22-24, 2026
Enjoy some coastal exploration time on the beautiful barrier islands of the Eastern Shore! During the Marine Science Adventure, students will get hand-on and feet-wet in some of our favorite marine habitats.  Depending on which program you sign up for, activities could include observing the physical and chemical properties of the Chincoteague Bay, seining for organisms in the intertidal zone, exploring the life hidden inside the marsh, studying the unique ecology of a barrier island, and more. This combination of hands-on observation of marine environments and time to socialize with other young marine biologists will make for some of the most memorable homeschool experiences for your family yet!

The Spring and Fall dates of Marine Science Adventure have different curriculum, so be sure to look at their schedules below for the full list of activities before you register.  All student participants must attend the program with a parent or adult chaperone.

PLEASE NOTE: All homeschool programs must have a minimum of 15 participants to run. These programs are ideal for homeschooling families, but are open to all families and groups interested in learning through hands-on experiences.

If these program dates or curriculum offerings don't fit your family's needs, be sure to check out our new Build Your Own Program page below.

Payment & Cancellation Policies

There will now be a two step billing process for Homeschool Marine Science Adventure.

1) Once your registration has been received and processed it will take up to 5 business days to create an invoice. The first invoice you will receive is for the Non-Refundable deposit of $30. This deposit will need to be paid within 5 business days. If the non-refundable deposit is not paid, you will be removed from the program roster and you will have to re-register if you are still interested in coming. Once the non-refundable deposit is paid, a second invoice will be sent. This non-refundable deposit is NOT an additional cost to you, it is included in the fees listed for each program's cost.

2) The second invoice you will receive is the remaining balance due. This invoice can be paid in as few or little payments as you like, as long as the balance is paid in full two weeks prior to your program start date.

Payments cannot be processed until invoices have been made. Please be patient as we process each registration manually. Payments may be made over the phone, via check, or through our online payment system. In order to secure your spot for the program, you have 5 working days to pay the $30 non-refundable deposit from the invoice date. If a deposit is not made, you will be removed from the program and you will need to re-register.

Payments must be made in full two weeks prior to the beginning of your program. If you need to set up a payment plan, please contact our office.

The link to the online payment portal is included with your invoice. Select "Review and Pay" to be taken to our secure payments page.
