MARINE SCIENCE ADVENTURE
April 2-4, 2018
September 12-14, 2018
Enjoy some coastal exploration time on the beautiful barrier islands of the Eastern Shore! During the Marine Science Adventure, students will observe the physical and chemical properties of the Chincoteague Bay aboard one of our research vessels, seine for invertebrates in the intertidal zone, and explore the life hidden inside the marsh. This combination of hands-on observation of marine environments and life forms and time to socialize with other young marine biologists will make for some of the most memorable homeschool experiences for your family yet!
The Spring and Fall dates of Marine Science Adventure have different curriculum, so be sure to look at their schedules below for the full list of activities before you register. While all ages are welcome for these programs, students must by 9 years or older to attend the research boat trip and all students must be accompanied by an adult while on the boat. All student participants must attend the program with a parent or adult chaperone.
PLEASE NOTE: All homeschool programs must have a minimum of 15 participants to run. These programs are ideal for homeschooling families, but are open to all families and groups interested in learning through hands-on experiences.
