I grew up in Boulder, Colorado with plenty of access and exposure to the outdoors. At George Washington University, I harnessed this passion into studying Environmental and Sustainability Science and volunteering in a coastal ecology lab. I am extremely interested in coastal science and always get excited about a good map. In my free time, I love exploring public spaces, running, reading, and listening to music. I look forward to my time at CBFS!

Hi, I'm Aimee! I grew up in Southern Maryland on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, and have spent my whole life exploring our wetlands and their watersheds. After graduating from Towson University with my B.S. in Environmental Biology, I spent a year working at Assateague State Park with the Maryland Conservation Corps. I've since moved more towards environmental education, working as a teacher at an outdoor school for a year and a half. I love all critters, but am especially fond of herps like my own eastern painted turtle, Mr. Turtle. Traveling is my passion, especially when it includes learning about the ecosystems I'm visiting. In my free time I enjoy hiking, swimming, reading, and knitting.

Hello! My name is Maggie and I'm excited to start my journey here at CBFS! I graduated from St. Mary's College of MD with a BA in Environmental Studies and a French minor. Shoutout to the Seahawks! I love to travel and have been to France, Italy, Barcelona, Mexico, and Belize. I am also a drummer and have been drumming since the 4th grade! I've been grateful for every opportunity I've received since leaving college and I am excited to start somewhere new and to learn new things!

My name is Zach and I'm from South Jersey right outside of Philadelphia. I graduated from the University of Maryland where I studied ecology and evolutionary biology. I love spending time outdoors and at local parks, and am always keeping an eye out for an exciting bird (my favorite is the Cedar Waxwing). I enjoy long and slow hikes, cooking but mainly eating, and playing any type of games with friends. I am always trying to learn new things and am currently improving my wildlife photography and volleyball skills. I can't wait to spend so much time outdoors and learn about the wildlife in Chincoteague!

I'm a recent graduate from VCU with a Major in Urban and Regional studies as well as a minor in Environmental Studies. I'm from Stafford, VA but I grew up in a military family so I had the opportunity to see many different states and even got to live in Japan! I've always loved exploring the outdoors and I enjoy sharing my love of the outdoors with others. This past summer I worked on the Youghiogheny River in Pennsylvania as a raft guide and I'm excited to spend more time on the water! In my free time I enjoy spending time with animals, crocheting and woodworking.

My name is Courtney and I’m a recent graduate from the University of Hawaii at Hilo where I got my B.S. in Marine Science. I was born in California and raised in Michigan, now I currently reside in South Carolina (you can say I’m a bit of a nomad) and I’m excited to explore VA! I’ve been fascinated with the ocean and all things Marine Biology for as long as I can remember. My favorite disciplines are along the lines of elasmobranch ecology, coral reef ecology, as well as implementing indigenous practices back into science. I’m excited to take my knowledge at CBFS and teach others about the ocean and creatures that I love so much! In my spare time you can probably find me reading, swimming, exploring some part of nature, or doing aerial arts! Can’t wait to meet you all! A hui ho kakou!
