Give Local 757

Picture
Chincoteague Bay Field Station will participate in the regional event, Give Local 757 on Tuesday, May 3rd.  In 24 hours, this event seeks to raise 1 million dollars for more than 200 non-profit organizations in the Eastern Shore and Hampton Roads areas. Community Foundations have come together to provide more than $45,000 in matching funds for organizations that participate in the day of giving.  Please help Chincoteague Bay Field Station to secure some of these matching funds and to enhance our already robust set of environmental education programs by making a contribution!

Afraid that you might forget on May 3rd? You can call in your donation TODAY to ensure your participation in this event. Call Elise Trelegan at 757-824-5636 to make your pledge. Questions? Contact elise@cbfieldstation.org

SPARK
CBFS's community-based program that brings together families from Accomack County to learn through nature. Presently this program supports 120 diverse families and is free in order to support people of all financial abilities and backgrounds. SPARK families are leaders in the communities and are passionate about learning.

Kids to Camp
At CBFS, we know that sending a child to camp is a luxury that not every family can afford. In 2015 we started our Kids to Camp Scholarship that helps to send local students to a week of summer camp.  These experiences are often times instrumental in developing a child's pride and stewardship of their local environment.

Local Schools
CBFS's is committed to providing free and discounted field trips for schools on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland. With limited funding at the school level, CBFS works with teachers and administrators to ensure that Eastern Shore students heave the opportunity to study the unique ecosystems in their own backyards.
