VOLUNTEERS & INTERNS
College Program & Research Intern
Number of positions available: 3
Position dates: May 15-August 15, 2017
$250 stipend, room and board

Would you like to gain valuable hands-on experience at a marine science field station while building your leadership skills? College Program Interns aid in the daily operations of the Chincoteague Bay Field Station, conduct research, assist in conservation projects, and support college students as resident advisers. Internships occur during our four summer sessions, beginning a few days prior and ending a few days after the students each summer. The intern will work three out of the four sessions and may attend a course during their session off, with the added benefit of no station fees for their class.

Alternative Spring Break 2018
Because Alternative Spring Break has been so successful, our campus is looking more beautiful than ever! Sadly however this means that we have run out of big enough projects to keep over a hundred students occupied for three days, while being able to benefit CBFS and the surrounding community. There will be no ASB 2017. We have a group of faculty members who are hoping to run a more field experience based Alternative Spring Break event for spring break 2018. As details become available they will be posted here.
If you are from a member university and are interested in setting up a small volunteer event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss opportunities. If you are local and would like to volunteer with us on a regular basis please visit our volunteer page.
Thank you for your patience as we develop a new program and all your support with past events!!
