ADVANCED MARINE INVERTEBRATE STUDY
August 9-11, 2017

​Attention Vertebrates! A stunning 97% of the world's organisms lack a backbone! If you are interested in spineless marine creatures, such as mollusks, arthropods, and cnidarians, then this program is perfect for you. Participants will discover the remarkable life history, behavior, development, physiology, and anatomy of the main phyla of invertebrates. A special emphasis will be placed on coastal Atlantic marine species. Fieldwork, both shore- and boat-based, and laboratory time will focus on collection and identification of local invertebrates, with opportunities for behavioral and/or physiological experimentation.     
​AGES 13-17.


Tuition $199 per person 
Prices include all instruction, field trips, transportation to field trip sites, materials, meals and lodging

During this program students will be supervised by summer camp counselors. Students will attend the program alone without a parent or adult chaperone. Student will be housed with other homeschool students of the same gender.
