SEAFARERS OF SCIENCE
(No Longer Accepting Registrations)

August 13-16, 2017

Any marine biologist worth their stuff knows their way around a boat!  Learn all about seaworthy transportation and the science that's done out on the water by boarding our research vessel to collect water samples and throw out a trawl net for marine organisms.  You'll even power your own boat as we kayak into coastal waters to study the marine ecosystem up close.  Taking a tour of the Chincoteague Coast Guard Station may be a highlight of your trip and once you've seen plenty of boats, you'll make your own mini racing sailboard out of recycled materials to compete against your family and newly-made friends! This program is best for students ages 10-16.  Participants must be 9 or older to board our research vessels.

Tuition: $210 per person
Commuter Tuition: $180(Commuter Tuition includes all meals.)
Kids 3 years old and younger are free

Prices include all instruction, field trips, transportation to field trip sites, materials, meals and lodging
